QTalk America selected as a finalist for LaunchSpot Rapid Pitch at Tempe Geeks Night Out on Feb 16

We’re all thrilled that we were selected as a finalist to present our idea for QTalk America to a panel of entrepreneurs and venture capitalists! While QTalk Arizona is still our primary focus, we are now in the slow roll-out of QTalk America. Whoa! What’s that? QTalk America will be the national ‘parent’ of QTalk Arizona, and will focus on our talk shows that reach beyond our state’s borders. And, eventually, we’ll be reaching out to other states and cities to bring QTalk to them. The goal is to build a coast-to-coast network of talk shows for the LGBT community and our allies, in both local and national flavors. This has never attempted before on this scale. Check out our original pitch video that was part of our application on YouTube!
The LaunchSpot Rapid Pitch event (a part of the Tempe Geeks Night Out), organized in partnership with ASU Venture Catalyst, the City of Tempe, Tallwave and the Phoenix Business Journal will give 6 early stage start-ups an opportunity to pitch in front of some truly great names in entrepreneurship and venture capital. Five of the start-ups will be chosen by our panel of judges, and one will be the entry with the most “likes” on their video.
We invite you to join in the fun and come watch our founder, Joe Dugandzic, pitch the QTalk America idea to the panel at 7:30pm on Thursday, February 16th at MADCAP Theaters in Tempe. For the full details, click over to the LaunchSpot RapidPitch site.
Our very own Joe Dugandzic and Olivia Gardens nominated for ‘N Touch News Man of the Year!
0QTalk Arizona is thrilled to have two people from our network nominated for the Man of the Year Award from ‘N Touch News Magazine! While coming from very different worlds, Joe and Olivia (real name Josstyn Redulla) are both involved as hosts on QTalk Arizona. Joe Dugandzic founded the network in 2010 to bring new voices to the Internet airwaves and hosts and co-produces multiple shows on QTalk Arizona.
Olivia Gardens is the current reigning Miss Phoenix Gay Pride and co-hosts the All That Glitters series on our network. She has also done quite a bit of fundraising for non-profit organizations in the Valley and is actively involved in our community.
Both ‘QTalkers’ were quite surprised to be nominated, and we assure you that their joint affiliation with QTalk Arizona had nothing to do with it! They’re very honored to have been nominated and each one hopes that you’ll vote for him! Decisions, decisions…
