The Agenda #11: Election Recap

Play

The Agenda with Rebecca Wininger and Kathy YoungOn the show this week Co-Hosts Kathy Young and Rebecca Wininger recap the election. They are joined by special guests Dan Mallar and Bill Farmer. Both Dan and Bill are very active in the Arizona Democratic party. Dan was a delegate at this year’s Democratic National Convention.

The group discusses the results of the Presidential election that saw President Barack Obama win in a very decisive victory and what it means for both parties. Other national races are discussed such as Tammy Baldwin‘s historic win making her the first out Senator. The Arizona races are discussed in detail as well. There were many races still up in the air in Arizona as there were a record number of provisional ballots to still be counted. One question the group had to deal with looking at the results – is the Tea Party dead?

Another big topic of the night was the historic wins for marriage equality in four states.

The week Kathy and Rebecca were feeling too good to award the Reject of the week and instead awarded two Recruits of the week.
